Founded in 1998 and incorporated in 2004, the mission of Concrete Pool & Spa since day one has been to provide families on the west side of Hawaiʻi island with their ideal backyard. Some of the best memories in a lifetime are made at home, so it is important when creating this special space that it is crafted with quality and care. We acknowledge that living in Hawaiʻi is a blessing. We should give back each way we can, which is why each of our pools is run with energy-efficient equipment to "mālama i ka 'āina," or to respect and care for the land.
Services provided by Concrete Pool & Spa, Inc. include, but are not limited to, inground swimming pools, commercial construction, residential builds, tile mosaics, ponds, waterfalls, glass-wall swimming pools, fire pits, plaster or pebble resurfacing, saltwater pools, cold plunges, spas, faux rockwork, etc.

MEET ROB
ROBERT SHROPSHIRE was raised in Keaukaha and Kona on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. After graduating Konawaena High School, he obtained his B.A. in Business from the University of Hawai'i, Hilo.
He co-founded Concrete Pool & Spa in 1998 with his wife Joan and has been serving the Big Island of Hawaiʻi ever since. As President of the company, he is highly involved and absolutely integral to each step of creation. He is the first one on the site pre-construction and the last to leave to ensure your complete satisfaction.

JOAN SHROPSHIRE was born and raised in the small town of Halaula on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. She graduated from Kohala High School and went on to obtain a degree from the University of Hawaiʻi in Secretarial Science.
Joan co-founded Concrete Pool & Spa, Inc. with her husband Robert in 1998 and has been serving the Big Island of Hawaiʻi with aloha and integrity ever since.
